One Week

Some of the people that I have had at my house this weekend
My second son T.J.

I am sitting here at work trying to get the time to post something because I know that once I get home I will not be able to do much on the computer. So far everything that I had planned for this weekend is still not done because my plans got blown out of the water when my husband returned from WI a full half day before he was supposed to and so there went my plans for those hours when I could do what I wanted to do.

With my oldest son and his family at my home and then my other son and his family coming over the noise level has been really bad. This has kept Ashlyn and Ryan in an uproar and has destroyed all of their sleep and eating habits. I will get into the vent about different parenting styles later. Suffice it to say my two daughter-in-laws married my sons and they have their own style of parenting and I do not interfere in their parenting (I made them both a promise that I would not interfere before their children were born). So, I think that they should let me parent/raise the two babies that I have custody of without interfering.

I have more pictures to post to this later tonight after my oldest son and his wife go out to dinner and a movie while I babysit my oldest granddaughter.

I still have to finish my mom's scrapbook because we are going to Arkansas this weekend to see her. Nothing much got done on it and I really want to get it done so I can take it to her.

End of Day 6

The first picture is of the grandchildren.Me and my oldest son, Robbie
Well, I had all but one of my children here today...I also had all five of the grandchildren here at one time...Trying to get a picture of them with me and my husband was not fun...there is always one who does not want to cooperate.

My son and his family got here around 2 in the morning...I got approximately 2 hours sleep...I got a hours nap this afternoon...hopefully I will get to go to bed early tonight because I need some sleep before I have to work tomorrow...My other son came over from Mt Vernon, MO with his family and so the house was very noisy for most of the day. I am so tired I cannot think straight. I will post more tomorrow from work and add more pictures tomorrow night after I get home.

Day 3 Of My Life

Mikey, Robbie, Bill
& Naia
October 2008

As you can see the Christmas tree is still up in the living room because we are waiting for my son from Wisconsin to get here this weekend. He will be staying a few days before he and his family complete their move to Arkansas. Also above is a picture of my son and my two younger brothers when my son was down in Arkansas in October when he had to preach one Sunday so that the church could do a vote on whether or not to accept him as a youth pastor. That is my oldest granddaughter in the cheerleader outfit that she wore for her first time to go trick or treating (she had never gone before). I am so excited to be seeing my son in a few days and I cannot wait for him and his family to get here. He is my oldest son.

So we are busy cleaning and disinfecting (because of the kids stomach flu) so that we will be ready for their visit.

I also have to find time to work on and finish the scrapbooks that I have for my mom, brothers, and sisters for their Christmas gifts.

New Year's Eve

Ashlyn giving her Mama a kiss before she has to go to bed on New Year's Eve...Her and Ryan are still having problems with the stomach flu, every time we think they are over it they start again.
I had to work today and the person who takes over for me at 5:30 p.m. did not come to work today and so the supervisors at corporate were expecting me to stay until 10 tonight...I told them that I could not do that because I had plans.
Plus it was the end of the month and the closings for our facility for the month had to be done and the evening person had not closed since the 12th and she was supposed to close every day. She had messed up one of the accounts on the 12th and so I had to call accounting and have a supervisor help me and then I had to go in and enter the information for each day so that we could close and accounting could close us out for the month and the year. Made for a very long day at work.
I have two days off work on 1/9 and 1/12 because we are helping my son move to Arkansas. He lives in Wisconsin and will be in Missouri on 1/3 and will stay with us until we head to Arkansas on the 9th. This is his daughter's first visit back to Missouri since she was 8 months old and she will be three in March. I am so happy that they are moving to Arkansas they will be about 30 minutes away from my Mom and I will see them more than when they lived in Wisconsin.
